Michelle Strier
Director of Account Service
Michelle Strier is Director of Account Service at Russell Public, responsible for day to day oversight of our clients' communications efforts. She is a communications professional with nearly a decade of experience managing public relations programs for government agencies, corporations, and not-for-profits. Her extensive work in the realm of healthcare spans a large range of disease areas including cancer and cancer prevention, multiple sclerosis, mental health disorders, arthritis, and infectious disease.
Prior to joining Russell Public, Michelle was a consultant working with her clients to understand the unique value of their brands in order to design and implement effective and competitive programming. Previous to that, Michelle was Vice President at Manning Selvage & Lee and Chamberlain Communications Group, respectively. She was responsible for managing multiple national and global communications programs designed to achieve media relations, ally development, and internal communications goals. Throughout her career, Michelle has overseen the launch of numerous health education initiatives including the launch of an antibiotic take-back initiative in Michigan on behalf of the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and Prevention Foundation and Meijer Pharmacy, the launch of InfantSee, a national program promoting healthy vision in infants, on behalf of the American Optometric Association, and the public relations launch of the Merck Manual of Medical Information, Second Home Edition and the Merck Manual of Health and Aging.
Michelle holds a B.A. in Literature and Rhetoric from Binghamton University and is a member of the Southern Arizona Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America. She and her husband, Larry, currently reside in Tucson, Arizona.
Before beginning her career in public relations, Michelle worked Off and Off-Off Broadway as a director and production assistant... and was a certified mixologist (a.k.a. bartender).
